Women’s boxing pound-for-pound rankings: A unanimous choice for No. 1

Claressa Shields reinforced her status at the top of the ESPN women’s pound-for-pound rankings following a commanding unanimous decision win over Franchon Crews-Dezurn on Feb. 22 in Detroit. The voting mirrored her performance, as she received every first-place vote from the ESPN panel.

Shields stands out as one of just two boxers in the four-belt era to achieve undisputed status across three weight classes—Terence Crawford being the other. She unified all four major women’s heavyweight titles on Feb. 2, 2025, with a victory over Danielle Perkins and has successfully defended her titles twice since then.

With a record of 15-0 and 3 KOs, Shields has captured titles in five different divisions, alongside Olympic gold medals from 2012 and 2016 as a representative of the U.S.

Katie Taylor revealed on Wednesday that she is looking for one final fight—preferably in Dublin—before hanging up her gloves. As it stands, she remains at No. 2 in the rankings.

While the top 10 remains unchanged, several skilled fighters are gaining attention and receiving votes, such as unified junior featherweight champion Ellie Scotney, unified super middleweight champion Shadasia Green, and undisputed bantamweight champion Cherneka Johnson.

Here’s the latest top 10.
