PHOENIX (AP) — Harrison Bader made a memorable impact with his first home run of the spring training season for the San Francisco Giants.
Bader launched a 408-foot homer to left field during the Giants’ 13-12 defeat against Milwaukee on Wednesday, leaving a noticeable dent near the top of a food truck. Following the game, the center fielder went to the concession area, met the truck’s owner, and — instead of enjoying an acai bowl — signed his name just below the spot where the ball landed.
As he climbed up to sign, Bader added his name and number along with a message: “Sorry.”
“It’s just a random, funny thing,” Bader shared with reporters.
Bader, who will represent Israel in the World Baseball Classic, joined the Giants last month after signing a two-year contract worth $20.5 million.
The 31-year-old, a Gold Glove winner with St. Louis in 2021, had a strong 2025 season, finishing with a .277 batting average, 17 home runs, 54 RBIs, and a .796 OPS in 146 games with the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies.
