Oscars Ratings Hit 17.9 Million Viewers, Down 9% From Last Year

The 98th annual Academy Awards drew 17.86 million viewers on ABC and Hulu, making it the least-watched Oscars telecast since 2022. The number is down 9 percent from last year’s show, which reached 19.69 million viewers.

Sunday night’s broadcast, which was hosted by Conan O’Brien, doubled the Golden Globes’ performance in total viewers and in the adults 18-49 demo. With a 3.92 rating, per Nielsen’s big data plus panel ratings, it won the night.

More to come.
