Prime Video and Germany’s Leonine Studios have extended their partnership in Germany and Austria with a new multi-year deal that includes premium titles “The Housemaid,” “The Drama” and “The Hunger Games – Sunrise on the Reaping.”
The deal, under which Prime Video has secured exclusive SVOD rights to a substantial package of titles for a period of six months within the pay-2 window, also includes German productions from Mediawan-owned Leonine like “Ein Fast Perfekter Antrag.”
The exclusive deal covers all Leonine films with a theatrical release starting January 1, 2026, and a package of premium home entertainment titles, as well as non-exclusive SVOD rights to a wide range of selected library titles.
Leonine’s library titles include the “Asterix and Obelix” “The Expendables” and “John Wick” franchises.
“We are very pleased to continue our long-standing, successful collaboration with such a great partner as Prime Video in the coming years,” said Leonine Studios CEO Fred Kogel in a statement. Kogel underlined that the deal includes “our current major box office hit” “The Housemad” as the first film, underscoring “the outstanding quality of our programming and the confidence Prime Video continues to place in us as a top-tier content provider.”
