AI-Realized, Human-Written Microdrama Series 'Spore Fall' Unveiled

Singapore-based studio Edenstone has revealed “Spore Fall,” a human-written, AI-realized microdrama series.

The sci-fi project introduces a hybrid production model in which human-authored scripts and narratives are brought to life through AI-generated visuals, targeting mobile-first audiences globally. Episodes run under three minutes each.

Set in the fictional city of Lionara, the series centers on a disillusioned soldier and a rogue medic forced into an unlikely alliance after an infected man develops abilities that could accelerate human evolution — or trigger its end. A deadly spore pathogen outbreak serves as the backdrop, suppressed by an authoritarian regime.

Creator and showrunner Joel Boh said the project is designed to demonstrate that Singapore can compete on the world stage without major studio resources. “AI accelerates that journey — turning past constraints into our next creative frontier,” he said.

The series has attracted 2025 Golden Horse Award winner Chan Gin Kai, CEO of Silver Media Group, as executive producer. Chan’s investment platform, Silver Media Fund — regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and managed by One Apex Capital — has also signed on to structure and lead a capital raise for the “Spore Fall” franchise, with transmedia expansion into feature films, games and collectibles planned.

“It keeps storytelling human while using AI as a tool to scale imagination,” Chan said of the project.

“Spore Fall” will launch as a free-to-view, 10-episode vertical series across its own website, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and selected streaming partners between March and June. A feature film is slated for theatrical release in 2028, to be followed by a novel, games and Web3 collectibles.
