Taylor Frankie Paul Won't Face Domestic Violence Charges

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul will not face charges following a domestic violence investigation by the Draper City Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office told The Salt Lake Tribune on Tuesday.

“because of the high profile of the defendant, the cases were reviewed by multiple attorneys,” read a release from the DA shared by The Tribune.

Back in March, Variety reported that filming for Season 5 of Hulu’s hit reality series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” was put on pause in light of dual investigations of domestic violence against Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen. Sources said the pause was temporary and that filming was expected to resume soon without a major impact on the season’s release timeline.

Paul was also set to star in Season 22 of “The Bachelorette,” but the season was scrapped by ABC after a video leaked showing Paul and Mortensen in a heated physical altercation. The network has not announced whether it plans to release the season at a later date.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” Disney Entertainment Television said in a statement at the time.

On April 7, Paul filed a temporary restraining order against Mortensen. The move came less than an hour before a court hearing in Utah regarding Martensen’s own order against Paul, as well as custody of their son.
