Drake Sets Album Chart Record as First to Debut in Top Three Slots

Drake has become the first artist to hold the top three slots on the albums chart as “Iceman,” “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour” debut at Nos. 1, 2 and 3, respectively.

“Iceman,” the album that Drake had been teasing for nearly two years before its release, enters the Billboard 200 at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units and earns him his 15th chart-topper, besting Jay-Z’s previous record for most No. 1s among solo men and R&B/hip-hop artists. Drake also ties Taylor Swift for most No. 1s among solo acts, only behind the Beatles with their record 19 No. 1s.

“Iceman” marks the second-largest sales week of 2026 for an album behind BTS’ “Arirang” (641,000 units), and the biggest week of the year for a R&B/hip-hop record. Behind “Iceman” are “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour” at Nos. 2 and 3, earning 114,000 and 110,000 units, respectively.

As expected, Drake released “Iceman” on May 15 after he ramped up to the record for two years. He concretely began teasing it in July 2025 with the first episode of his “Iceman” livestream series, where he debuted new music, including the songs “What Did I Miss?” and “Which One” featuring Central Cee.

Drake aired his fourth “Iceman” livestream on the eve of the album’s release and ended it with the surprise announcement that he was dropping not one, but three new albums simultaneously with the addition of “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti.” Shortly after revealing the album covers for each project, he dropped the trio of albums at midnight heading into Friday.

Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Noah Kahan’s “The Great Divide” gets a Drake-sized bump from No. 1 to 4, followed by Ella Langley’s “Dandelion.” Occupying Nos. 6 through 10 are Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem,” Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” Jackson’s “Number Ones,” Lucki’s “Dr*gs R Bad,” and BTS’ “Arirang.”
