The captains of Manchester City have declared that they will reimburse nearly 400 fans who journeyed to Norway for the 3-1 loss against Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League.
In a joint statement, Bernardo Silva, Rúben Dias, Erling Haaland, and Rodri expressed that this was “the least they could do” for those supporters who traveled to the Arctic Circle following a lackluster performance by Pep Guardiola’s team on Tuesday.

The total expense for the 374 tickets will amount to nearly £10,000 ($13,400).
Representing the team, the leadership duo of Silva, Dias, Haaland, and Rodri said in their statement: “Our supporters mean the world to us.
“We understand the sacrifices our fans make when they travel from all corners of the globe to support us, both home and away, and we will never take that for granted. They are the best fans in the world.
“We also acknowledge the extensive travel for those fans who braved the freezing conditions to support us during a tough night on the field. Covering the cost of these tickets for those who went to Bodø is the least we can offer.
“We’re prepared to put up a fight on Saturday against Wolves and again next Wednesday when we face Galatasaray in front of our incredible fans at the Etihad.”
