DENVER — The Denver Broncos faced a challenge with their wide receiver depth on Saturday, losing rookie Pat Bryant and second-year player Troy Franklin in the first half of their AFC divisional round matchup against the Buffalo Bills at help Field at Mile High.
Bryant caught three passes on the Broncos’ opening drive but left the game with a concussion later in the first quarter. Franklin exited in the second half due to a hamstring injury.
The injuries left the Broncos with just three active receivers for the rest of the game: Courtland Sutton, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, and Marvin Mims Jr.
Mims had been checked for a concussion after a hard hit on the opening kickoff but managed to return. The Broncos had called up wide receiver Elijah Moore from the practice squad for this game, but he was inactive on game day.
