On December 19, LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha took the stage at the KBS Song Festival in Incheon. Hosted by Jang Do-yeon, Moon Sang-min, and Minju of ILLIT, the year-end music event aired live from Songdo ConvensiA. During the show, Kazuha performed a solo cover of Standing Next to You, originally released by BTS’ Jungkook.
The track selection surprised the audience and drew strong reactions inside the venue. The stage later gained attention across online platforms, too. The K-pop idol appeared in a dark blue suit and open hair. Her cover drew praise for the presence and execution. At the same time, parts of the online discussion turned critical, with some viewers questioning her vocal delivery despite acknowledging her dance skills.
“Did they gave her the mic for decoration ?” an X user commented.
Some fans remarked that the concern was not the lip-syncing, but that the pre-recorded track showed her tribulation with higher notes. Meanwhile, some questioned the rendition’s concept, especially the use of the microphone.
The problem is not even making lipsync but in the pre recorded version you can hear her struggling with the high pitched voice
is she forgot that she’s holding a mic?
She did great in the dancing part but I just don’t get the whole concept of the perf. Mic as a prop?
Despite this, others defended her. They stated that the performance was choreography-focused rather than a vocal cover. Fans added that the microphone was part of the choreography, similar to how JK used it in the original version.
The second I realized she was lip syncing I went “oh clearly this is supposed to be a choreography cover not a full cover.” I wish people would use their brains
Are the quotes genuinely stupid or??.Shes performing a choregraphy version of the song ,the mic is part of the choreo.
replies and qrts acting dense again, kazuha is literally performing the choreography version of standing next to you. the mic is part of the choreography.

Members Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae opened the show. Each performer highlighted a distinct style.
Large props shaped like fish spaghetti, forks, and chopsticks framed the opening sequence. The girl group later returned beneath a long table placed at the center. They then performed SPAGHETTI featuring j-hope of BTS. The track comes from their first full-length album. As the introduction played, cheers filled the venue. Kim Chaewon also joined a collaboration stage. She sang Never Ending Story with IU and Rheeze from IVE.
