Indiana set for back-to-back with Ohio State, Michigan in ’26


The defending national champion, Indiana, will face off against formidable Big Ten rivals Ohio State and Michigan in back-to-back weeks next season.

Ohio State will travel to Indiana on October 17 for a rematch of the Big Ten championship game, followed by the Hoosiers visiting Ann Arbor the next Saturday for a showdown with the Wolverines.

Indiana, Ohio State, and Michigan have claimed the last three national titles.

The Big Ten announced its 2026 conference schedule on Tuesday evening.

After a bye week in the first Saturday of November, the Hoosiers will conclude their Big Ten schedule with a game against USC on November 14, followed by a matchup at Washington on November 21 and a home game against rival Purdue on November 28.

Ohio State’s bye week falls on October 24, nestled between road games against Indiana and a matchup with USC on Halloween. The Buckeyes will also visit Iowa on October 3 and Nebraska on November 21 before their annual clash with Michigan at the Horseshoe on November 28. also, they have a challenging nonconference game against Texas on September 12.

Oregon, after two consecutive playoff appearances in its first two years in the Big Ten, will also face tough competition in November. The Ducks will visit Ohio State on November 7 and face Michigan at home on November 14. They will also travel to USC on September 26 and conclude their regular season against Washington on November 28.

Michigan has a bye on October 10, after which the Wolverines and their new head coach, Kyle Whittingham, will encounter Penn State and first-year Nittany Lions coach Matt Campbell on October 17, followed by a game against Indiana at the Big House.

Campbell’s tenure in the Big Ten begins on September 26 against Wisconsin in State College. After a road game at Northwestern, Penn State will host USC on October 10, with a bye week on October 24.

The Big Ten championship game is set for December 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
