LSU has secured a commitment from offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, who transferred from Colorado, as reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Friday.
Seaton, ranked as the top offensive tackle and the fourth overall player in ESPN’s transfer rankings, chose LSU over Miami, Oregon, and Mississippi State. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining with the Tigers and is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-5, 330-pound sophomore was among the highest-rated recruits in Colorado’s history, coming in as a five-star signee in the 2024 class. During his tenure with the Buffaloes, he started 22 games at left tackle.
Seaton was the top uncommitted player remaining on ESPN’s transfer rankings. He now adds to ESPN’s No. 1-ranked transfer portal class.
This announcement means that new head coach Lane Kiffin and the Tigers have successfully recruited three of ESPN’s top six transfers, with Seaton joining quarterback Sam Leavitt (Arizona State) and pass rusher Princewill Umanmielen (Ole Miss) in Baton Rouge.
Kiffin and his coaching staff have welcomed 40 new players through the portal this January, significantly revamping their offense, which includes three new quarterbacks, four new running backs, nine wide receivers, and eight offensive linemen.
Seaton, who is the No. 19 overall recruit in the 2024 ESPN 300 from IMG Academy in Florida, began his college career as a true freshman at Colorado. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors from league coaches in 2025, achieving zero sacks allowed in pass protection over nine games, according to ESPN Research.
