Super Bowl 2026 commercials: Athletes include Serena, more

The Super Bowl LX matchup features the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, showcasing star talent both on the field and in the stands, not to mention the commercials.

Some fans tune in for the intense football action, while others eagerly await the advertisements during the NFL’s showcase event. Super Bowl commercials come with a hefty price tag, and this year is no exception, with CNBC reporting that 30-second slots averaged around $8 million, with some exceeding $10 million. Yet, a memorable ad can be invaluable.

A variety of athletes will take part in the Super Bowl LX commercials. Peyton Manning is back with Bud Light, a group of the NFL’s top tight ends come together, and Derrick Henry displays his throwing skills.

Here’s a glimpse at the standout commercials during Super Bowl LX featuring athletes.

Star-studded cast showcases futuristic glasses

Oakley sunglasses are popular among athletes, including Kansas City Chiefs’ star Patrick Mahomes with his own line. hence, it’s fitting that Oakley enlisted several athletes to promote the new “Oakley Meta Performance AI glasses.”

The ad kicks off with former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch skydiving, followed by skater Sky Brown, cyclist Kate Courtney, and golfer Akshay Bhatia participating in their sports. Internet sensation iShowSpeed and filmmaker Spike Lee also make appearances, highlighting the various features of Oakley’s innovative eyewear.

Peyton Manning reunites with Bud Light

The two-time Super Bowl champion secured a prominent role in a Bud Light ad alongside comedian Shane Gillis and musician Post Malone for a 2025 commercial. This year, they return for an ad simply named: “Keg.”

While attending a wedding, Manning introduces a glass of Bud Light as the “first beer of the wedding.” Malone questions whether there’s enough for everyone, prompting Manning to point out a keg being brought into the scene. Unfortunately, the keg tumbles down a hill, leading guests, including the bride and groom, to roll down after it.

Tight ends come together for a cause

Pharmaceutical company Novartis enlisted a lineup of current and former NFL tight ends to raise awareness about prostate cancer screening. Players like Jake Olson, Tony Gonzalez, George Kittle, and Rob Gronkowski appear in a relaxed setting accompanied by soothing music.

Midway through the ad, former Super Bowl-winning head coach Bruce Arians explains the relaxation of the tight ends, attributing it to the understanding that a simple blood test can identify prostate cancer, alleviating the challenges of detection. Arians encourages Gronkowski to demonstrate what he’s learned, leading Gronk to demonstrate relaxation in his own playful style.

Derrick Henry’s arm impresses during trolley ride

Trolley tours are iconic in San Francisco. Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry and actress Kathryn Hahn embark on a trolley ride, which struggles to ascend a hill. Hahn jumps off to help push it back up.

Handing her Oikos yogurt to Henry, she manages to get the trolley moving again. but, her Oikos remains with Henry, who impressively tosses it back to her, reminiscent of his quarterback, Lamar Jackson.
